|When shall I take the test?||
After coming into contact with these infections, it can take some time for viral levels to rise to a detectable amount. Therefore we do advise to allow for a brief incubation period of 14 days before testing for Chlamydia & Gonorrhoea. HIV and Syphilis recommended incubation period is 90 days after suspected exposure.The test should be performed after the incubation period or, if a negative result is received before the incubation period, we recommend performing a confirmatory test after the advised incubation period.
